Seven

My little princess is turning 7 in barely two months.


Seven is like the age where she will actually really begin to think for herself and not just follow my lead; when she will refuse a haircut because she loves flipping her long hair and not because I tell her to keep it long; when she will talk to her friends over the phone because she gossips and not because I tell her to be courteous.



Seven is like a whole new world opening up for her and I am both excited and lonely. I am anxious to see how she will turn out to be, and yet I am reluctant to let her go and be.

New Year's Resolutions

Ito ang standard English composition assignment tuwing babalik from the Christmas break. Ang corny. Halatang wala pang gana si Ma’m magturo at ay hangover pa sa bakasyon…either yun o talagang interesado siyang malaman ang new year’s resolution ko (charing!)

Eh ngayon, dahil matured na (hindi old ha..matured lang)… at nabinyagan na sa samu’t saring kalokohan, kabalbalan at kamunduhan ng karamihan - trip ko na ang gumawa ng new year’s resolution. Wala lang.. baka sakaling matupad at makatulong ako sa pagbuti ng mundo..

1. Swear, babasahin ko na ang Bibliya ko. Baka magalit na sa akin si Lord dahil inaalikabok na ang mga salita Nya.
2. I will refrain from dissing out mean and nasty and sarcastic side comments.
3. Hindi na ako iinom ng ice cold coca cola. (wah!!!)
4. Hindi na rin ako mag ho-hot fudge sundae pag nabwi bwiset ako sa mundo
5. Gigising na ako ng maaga (mga 7am he he) pag walang pasok.. enough of being a bed bug
6. Tama na ang senseless, spur of the moment purchases of colored pens
7. I will eat my veggies
8. Titigilan ko na ang pagiging doubtful and cynical of other people’s motivations in life
9. Hinding hindi ko na pipintasan si Iya Villana pag nakita ko sya sa tv. Ililipat ko na lang ang channel.
10. I will not spend more than what I earn...but I will spend more from what hubby earns

But on top of these all, I intend to laugh more and enjoy life more. Sa bilis ng panahon, ayokong dumating ang time na I will ask myself..."where have all the good times gone?" (and where are all the odds?)

Flowergirl

First time ni Gail mag flowergirl. Ang saya saya!

HAM-burger

Dinner sa Yellow Cab with hubby and Gail.

Gail : "Aw shucks! Akala ko may hamburger dito."
Hubby : "Sige, drive thru na lang kita sa Jollibee"

"Yipee!!!"

Pag dating sa Jollibee...



Ako"Anong gusto mo, anak? Cheese burger?"
Gail: "Ummm..ahhh..."

Tagal mag-isip. Tinulungan ko na..

Ako: "Yung may cheese....??"

Nagliwanag ang mata ni anak! Halleluyah!!

Gail: " Ayoko ng may cheese. Yung may HAM lang"

Blue Line

Sa school ng anak ko, they have this "blue line" where they will all sit on the floor "inside" the blue line and si Teacher will do her storytelling.

Isang araw, kwento si anak about her classmate na enligh speaking - si Yso.

Yso daw only wants to sit next to her bestfriend Pia. Pia in turn, wants their other friend Marinelle, to sit sa kabilang side nya. Eh may umupong ibang classmate sa tabi ni Yso.

So Yso shouts, "Hey! That's Pia's place!" Si anak, she was mimicking Yso's high pitched voice and was distorting her face. Yung parang nangaasar.

Tapos nung may umupo naman daw iba sa tabi ni Pia, sumigaw din si Pia - "Hey! That's Marinelle's place!" Kulubot pa rin mukha ni anak habang ginagaya nya yung sigaw ni Pia.

So naturally, being the ever inquisitive mommy, tinanong ko si anak - "eh ikaw, pag may umupong iba sa tabi mo na hindi mo friend, anong sinasabi mo?"

Walang kabuckle - buckle sabi nya - "HOY! UMALIS KA DYAN!"
